Objectives of workshop

• Make sure that the Young Water Professionals meet other Young Water Professionals and create professional and personal relationships that will last through out their career
• Provide an opportunity for Young Water Professionals to create a dialog with established professionals in the water sector about the challenges that they will need to face in the future
• Give an opportunity to Young Water Professionals to meet professionals working in different sectors of the water industry and learn about latest technologies of wastewater treatment

• Main trends in modernization of municipal wastewater treatment plants
• Technological investigations and approaches for design of wastewater treatment plants and its modernization and reconstruction
• State of art technologies and equipment applied for modernization of wastewater treatment plants
• Modernization of wastewater treatment plants targeting; an advanced nutrients removal
• Modernization of technologies for sludge treatment and its further use
• Simulation modeling as an instrument for modernization of wastewater treatment plants

About YWP — To fulfil the present and future needs of the water and wastewater industries requires the continuous development of a workforce which is both capable in skills and strong in leadership. Young water professionals (students and professionals in the water sector and under the age of 35) are the future of the water sector, and therefore the future of the International Water Association. The YWP program aims to put you in touch with other water professionals and offers practical and effective ways for those interested in a career in the water sector to follow their interests and experiences.
